The Collector's Series

Beau Limousine Wine Tours is extremely pleased to announce that one of America's leading wine writers, Alan Goldfarb, has joined our staff and will be leading customized and very exclusive tours of the wine country.

Mr. Goldfarb, whose work has appeared as a wine columnist for the San Francisco Examiner, the San Jose Mercury News, the Wine Enthusiast, the Underground Wine Journal, and American Airline's inflight magazine American Way, has established longtime relationships with some of California's most prestigious wine properties. For the first time, Alan will accompany small groups of serious wine collectors to wineries which, untill now, have not generally been open to the public.

Accompanying you and your party, Mr. Goldfarb will take you to places in California's wine country where you've never had access before. You'll sample cutting-edge, short-supply wines in the private cellars of the vintners, walk in the vineyards with the winemakers, and partake in catered lunches and winemaker dinners, prepared by top chefs, in candle-lighted wine cellars or in the homes of some of California's leading winegrowers.

Collector's Series are full day wine tours ranging from 6 to 12 hours depending on final itinerary and pick-up location. All tours include a sit-down, catered gourmet lunch at a private winery. Winemaker dinners are also an option. These are private tours and limited to 6 or less people. Please call for quote.

The following are descriptions of previous Collector's Series tours
(each tour is always unique and wineries can vary).

THE SADDLEBACK - SPRING MOUNTAIN TOUR

· Seguin Moreau Cooperage
· Saddleback Cellars
· Barnett Vineyards

Begin your day with Alan Goldfarb, on a visit to Seguin Moreau, the French barrel maker at the tip of the Napa Valley. It's the spot where the journey of many of California's great wines, begin their lives. Blind-taste experimental wines aged in various types of oak barrels; and conclude your visit to this prestigious cooperage by attempting to make your own barrel --if you dare!

Then back in your Beau limo for a short ride up-valley to the rustic barn-like winery, Saddleback Cellars, where one of California's greatest winemakers, Nils Venge, will taste you on his very highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignons, of which there exist only 300 cases. In the heart of Oakville, surrounded by some of the world's greatest vineyards such as Opus One, Silver Oak, Groth, and PlumpJack, Mr. Oakville will spin some of his California cowboy yarns, while you sip some of his rare California Pinot Blanc.

Next, it's up to the 1,700-foot elevation on top of storied Spring Mountain, where we'll pass through the locked gates of tiny Barnett Vineyards. It is here, where you'll taste some soon-to-be-cult Cabernet Sauvignons before adjourning to Barnett's veranda where you'll partake in a catered repast, while gazing at a 180-degree vista of northern Napa Valley.

THE CAIN 5 TOUR

· Seguin Moreau Cooperage
· Signorello Vineyards
· Judd's Hill
· Cain Cellars

Begin your day with Alan Goldfarb, on a visit to Seguin Moreau, the French barrel maker at the tip of the Napa Valley. It's the spot where the journey of many of California's great wines, begin their lives. Blind-taste experimental wines aged in various types of oak barrels; and conclude your visit to this prestigious cooperage by attempting to make your own barrel -- if you dare!

Then it's back in your Beau limo for a short ride to the quiet side of the Napa Valley -- the Silverado Trail -- and up the hill to the beautiful stone winery that is Signorello Vineyards. Taste along with the handsome (some say he resembles Tom Cruise) Ray Signorello, some of his single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and his Montrachet-like Chardonnays. Then it's a three-course catered lunch with Ray, overlooking the southern end of the Napa Valley.

Back on the Trail next, past the exclusive Meadowood Resort and up the prestigious Howell Mountain to the Conn Valley, where we'll find the quaint home-winery, Judd's Hill. It is here, in the garage of their home, where Bunnie and Art Finkelstein make only three wines -- Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir --which total only 4,000 cases. Taste Judd's Hill's 1998 estate-grown Cabernet (one of the best Cabs from a difficult vintage) in Bunnie and Art's private cellar. And if you're lucky, they'll bring out son Judd's (for whom the winery is named), first Syrah labeled under his own name.

It'll next be a time to relax in the back of your limo as we wind our way up the western slopes of the Napa Valley to storied Spring Mountain where we'll find the hidden but highly regarded Cain Cellars. This beautiful property, with panoramic views of the Valley, is home to the prestigious Cain 5 Bordeaux-styled wine. At poolside, the folks at Cain will pour you their very underrated Cain Cuvée and finally some of the beautiful Cain 5.

THE DIAMOND TOUR

· Seguin Moreau Cooperage
· Saddleback Cellars
· Barnett Vineyards
· Diamond Creek Vineyards

Begin your day with Alan Goldfarb, on a visit to Seguin Moreau, the French barrel maker at the tip of the Napa Valley. It's the spot where the journey of many of California's great wines, begin their lives. Blind-taste experimental wines aged in various types of oak barrels; and conclude your visit to this prestigious cooperage by attempting to make your own barrel -- if you dare!

It is here, where you'll taste some soon-to-be-cult Cabernet Sauvignons, before adjourning to Barnett's veranda where you'll partake in a catered repast, while gazing at a 180-degree vista of northern Napa Valley.

To conclude our fabulous day, we'll come down from Spring Mountain and scoot up to prestigious Diamond Mountain where Al and Boots Brounstein will welcome us to their winery, one of California's first growth properties -- Diamond Creek Vineyards. Diamond Creek produces magnificent, powerful Cabernet Sauvignons from the Volcanic Hill, Red Rock and Gravelly Meadow vineyards. These wines are very limited and hard to find. During our visit you'll stroll the property's wooded paths either to the pool, or to the lake, adjacent to one of California's greatest vineyard's -- the Lake Vineyard. Here, you'll languish in the warm sun or take a leisurely boat ride.
